Q: Can I take children on the tour?
A: Children are more than welcome aboard the dinner cruise!
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: Windows line the Landing Princess's two climate controlled decks, providing spectacular views of breathtaking lake scenery. The enclosed decks provide the ability to go out in most weather conditions, and your captain is in constant communication with the Coast Guard and the National Weather Service. The boat does go out rain or shine; however, the staff would never put the passengers in harm's way. Inclement weather does not guarantee that a tour will be canceled; however, should this be the case, we will contact you via telephone and e-mail to inform you of the cancellation and provide you with the alternative options available to you. In the event of the cancellation of a tour by the tour operator you may either reschedule to a different date or submit a request for a refund for this portion of the vacation package pending investigation of the circumstances which prompted the tour not to operate as scheduled. Please be advised that no refund will be issued if you decide not to take the tour at your discretion, but the cruise departs as scheduled.
Q: How many people can be on the boat at one time?
A: The yacht is 100 feet long and 20 feet wide and can carry up to 149 passengers. The lower deck seats up to 90 people and the upper deck has additional seating. During the dinner cruises, approximately 90 guests are allowed on board the yacht.
Q: What will we see on the tour?
A: You will see a vast variety of wildlife and other great attractions on the sightseeing tour. Landmarks will include Baldknobber's, Branson's first roller skating rink; Historic Lake Taneycomo Bridge; Presbyterian Hill; the White River and Roark Creek; Mount Branson; Rockaway Beach; and the Powersite and Table Rock dams. Wildlife could include the American Bald Eagle, the Great Blue Heron, and the Morning Dove, as well as deer, foxes, and more!
Q: Are food or drinks served during the tour?
A: On the dinner cruise you will enjoy a buffet style dinner with barbecued ribs, roasted chicken, potatoes, vegetables, salads, and desserts (desserts vary depending on the cruise, but may be chocolate layer cake, milky way cake, or cheesecake). Coffee, hot tea, iced tea, soda, lemonade, and water are included in the ticket price, but alcoholic drinks are not. We have a full bar available on board that serves liquor, beer, wine and snacks. Alcoholic drinks range from $3 - 6, and snacks such as chips, candy, and popcorn range from $1 - $1.50. Prices are subject to change. A: No, unfortunately personal foods and beverages are prohibited aboard the Landing Princess for insurance reasons.
Q: Can I bring alcohol on the boat?
A: No, you cannot bring your own personal alcoholic beverages on board, but there are alcoholic beverages available for purchase on board at the full service bar.
Q: Do I need to be 21 to drink alcohol?
A: Yes - you must be at least 21 years of age if you plan to purchase alcoholic beverages on board. Please remember to bring government issued identification with you if you would like to purchase alcohol at the full bar on board.
Q: Is entertainment provided on the cruise?
A: The entertainment is comprised of the exquisite natural beauty of Lake Taneycomo and the spectacular surrounding Ozark mountain countryside, coupled with the lake's unique wildlife and the man-made wonders that are such landmarks as the Taneycomo Bridge, Branson Landing, and the 7.5 million dollar fire, water, and light show. Rather than provide you with the same old song and dance you've seen for years, this one-of-a-kind ride offers a professional staff and a knowledgeable captain who will lead you through Missouri's pristine waterways as he tells you all about the sights you pass along the way. This cruise is sure to entertain and educate again and again.
Q: Doesn’t it get really hot in Branson during the summer?
A: It can, but that’s the perfect reason to come out on the water aboard the yacht! In the heat of the summer it is 15 to 18 degrees cooler on the waters of Lake Taneycomo than it is in the shopping area at Branson Landing, on the strip or even on Table Rock Lake. The waters of Lake Taneycomo always maintain a temperature of just 45 degrees, so a yacht cruise is always your best bet for cool summer fun! The climate controlled decks are sure to keep you comfortable as well.
Q: Is there air conditioning/heating on board?
A: Yes, the lower deck is enclosed and climate controlled.
Q: Is it customary to tip the crew?
A: Your crew works very hard to make sure you have the best experience possible aboard the Landing Princess. While tips are not required, they are greatly appreciated!
Q: Is seating assigned on the tour?
A: No, seating is on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early if you'd like to sit in a particular spot on the boat!
Q: Are there life jackets on board?
A: Yes, the Landing Princess yacht has more than enough life jackets available for all passengers at any time. However, you are not required to wear life jackets during the cruise.
Q: Is the yacht wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes, and so are the restrooms on board. Do keep in mind that the entrance to the boat is only 30 inches wide, so some larger wheelchairs and electric scooters or Segways may be more difficult to accommodate.
Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: Yes, smoking is allowed on the outdoor decks in designated areas only.
Q: Are restrooms available?
A: Yes! There are two clean restrooms on board (one for men and one for women). They are both wheelchair accessible.
Q: Is the tour suitable for pregnant women?
A: The dinner cruise should not be a problem for pregnant women as the waters are very calm and the boat is very stable. If you are concerned, you may want to consider consulting a doctor before attending the cruise.
Q: Is there room to stow my belongings on board?
A: There is room on board to store limited belongings. If you have large personal belongings (such as a suitcase), you may be asked to keep it in the ticket booth which will be securely surveyed throughout the duration of the cruise.
Q: Will I get seasick?
A: The yacht is a large, stable boat and Lake Taneycomo has very calm waters. Therefore seasickness is very rare. If you are particularly prone to motion sickness, please do consider consulting your doctor before attending the cruise.
Q: Will there be souvenirs available for purchase?
A: Yes! Souvenirs are available on board.
